Hi babes, I hope you’re gearing up for another beautiful weekend here in Colorado! Do you know what I absolutely love about living here? We have some of the best weather in the US. With 300 days of sunshine, our summer feels like it lasts through the end of September, even through early October, giving us plenty of patio & picnic weather left around this time of year.
So, in honor of trying to get Mother Nature to give us even a longer taste summer this year, I put together a list of the best picnic spots around the Denver area. I hope this inspires you babes to get outside and enjoy the ambiance while it lasts!
Location: 1020 11th St, Golden, CO 80401
The best location around Golden, in my opinion, for an enjoyable afternoon picnic is the Golden History Park. This cute little park backs right up to the Clear Creek walking Trail and offers a nice, calm ambiance. There is also great photo opportunity for you and your sweetie in this serene setting.
Location: 701 S Franklin St, Denver, CO 80209
Washington Park one of Denver’s most popular parks offers a sprawling 165 acres of open space, flower gardens, two playgrounds, lakes, historical builds, and more! There is more than enough space to spread out your favorite picnic, weather it’s out in one of the large fields or set up on one of the park’s many picnic tables! Enjoy the views babes!
Denver Botanic Gardens
Location: 1007 York St, Denver, CO 80206
Grab your favorite bottle of wine (yes you can BYOB) and head over to the Denver Botanic Gardens for your next picnic this year! The Gardens offers 24 acres of stunning views, specialty collections, and spectacular gardens for you and your sweetie to have a simply dreamy date night.
Have you babes been up to Evergreen yet?! It’s just a quick 30 minute drive from Denver and it’s such a beautiful little place. The town center has a ton of quaint, local shops and hot spots to check out and it’s located just around the corner from Evergreen Lake. The Lake is surrounded by plenty of hiking trails plus a 55 acre park for all of your picnic-ing desires. Be sure to check out the Lake activities while you’re there, among which are boating and fishing!

City Park is one of Denver’s oldest and largest parks with 330 acres dominated by it’s open space, walking trails, and picnic spots! After your dinner date, feel free to take a stroll over to the Museum of Nature and Science or the Denver Zoo – all located with in the grounds of the park!
