The word on the street is that Denver’s fashion scene is a little behind the times, much less developed then the scene in bigger cities like Chi-town, New York or LA. Being a local fashion blogger and model here in Denver, I’ve been witnessing first-hand some pretty big and exciting changes in Denver’s fashion industry. Some major news that recently flooded the local fashion scene… DIOR and Haute Couture! I just had to get the scoop for you babes, here is your exclusive sneak peek…
How absolutely thrilling that Dior chose Denver as the next destination, following Paris, for the extensive and breathtaking exhibition! This is the first Dior display of such capacity to be featured in the United States and we were chosen as the first stop – this is a big win for the fashion scene here in Denver. Just check out all these gorgeous gowns from all Dior eras.
Open November 19th through March 3rd, the Dior from Paris to the World Exhibit is a must-see for all you Denverites at our very own Denver Art Museum. This inspiring and unparalleled display explores 70 years of haute couture as well as over 200 couture dresses, with a bonus peek at couture accessories, photographs and drawings.
Take a walk through 70 years of the legacy that is Dior and relive each theme in history, chronologically, you will not be disappointed. In addition, the exhibit also highlights how Christian Dior’s successors – Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and Maria Grazia Chiuri have carried his legacy on and into the 21st century.
